Red Allen

The graphic version of Red Allen's page contains three photos. The first one was taken in 1928, age 20, probably while he was playing with Fate Marable on the Strekfus riverboats. The second picture was taken thirty years later, at a time when Red was playing at the Metropole in New York City. These two photographs, both of which are publicity photos from Jack Bradley's collection, appear at the top of the Red Allen graphic page.

Red's page also has a link to a publicity photo of the brass section of the Mills' Blue Rhthym Band which was taken in 1935. The picture includes Wardell Jones, J.C. Higginbotham, George Washington, Shelton Hemphill, and Red.

Bobby Hackett

The photo that appears at the top of the graphic version of Bobby's page was taken circa 1942. The inscription is for his wife Edna and daughter Diedre. This photo was given to Jack Bradley by Bobby, and is one of only a few, that I've seen, where he does not have his mustache.

At the bottom of the graphic version of Bobby's page is a photo taken in 1936 at the Theatrical Club in Boston.
